I’m happy to announce that I’m back to working on my favorite non-electoral project of the year, dotOrganize. It’s an effort to get better online tools into the hands of social justice organizers & campaigns. I took a break to work on the Edwards and Hall campaigns, but now that the elections are over, dotOrganize Director (and my good friend) Leda Dederich has lured me back.
I was heavily involved in the research and writing of the dotOrganize report, “From Struggle to Strategy: Online Technology for Social Change.” It’s an impressive survey of over 400 organizations, and has already helped ratchet up the attention on the central tech problem of our day — splintered system and lack of interoperability. It’s our job at dotOrganize to help solve that problem. Stay tuned for more, and if you haven’t already, go read the report.
